I think the big deal with putting a Mahindra Hoe on a Mahindra tractor is, if nothing else, a warranty issue. That's the same with all tractor brands. They all threaten that if you use another brand attachment, the warranty will be voided. They want you to use their stuff. It makes sense.
As far as the warranty, Here's my logic. The tractor is warranteed for (I think) 2 years. The Hoe is warranteed for one or two years. The only repairs that would not be covered are repairs to the tractor that can be proven to be as a direct result of the Hoe. Obviously, if your guage cluster, or front axle, or hydrostatic unit, or anything else were to need repair, I believe that would still be covered, as it would be unrelated to the Backhoe. Not only that, but if you read the posts of all the Mahindra dealers on TBN, you'll find that almost NONE (literally) have had to do any warranty repairs on 15 series Mahindras. They are bombproof. And after the warranty period is up, you're on your own anyway, right? I'm not saying "don't buy the Mahindra unit." I'm just saying put the warranty thing into perspective. |

Joel,
The 3710 backhoe that fits the 3015 is manufactured by KMW not Bradco. The main reason I have always sold the Mahindra hoe is because the low rate financing applies to it. I have priced out other hoes on the Mahindra, but when the low rate financing is figured in on the deal, the customer always chooses the Mahindra hoe.

I'm not saying that anything is wrong with the Mahindra units I just think the curved boom would be an asset in tight places such as graveyards. |

I get the warranty thing. Not that I agree with it, but I get it. The top thing on my list would be to buy from a Mahindra dealer who will warranty the unit as a whole. Best case would be to buy from a Woods and Mahindra dealer! I don't forsee problems, but you never know. |

It wouldn't be that much difference in price. The main difference is the payments, because the Woods backhoe wouldn't have the Mahindra low rate financing. I would price it both ways, compare and make your decision. Good luck with it.

1. Integrity of warranty. It probably would not become an issue as the Woods also has a sub-frame, but the 3710 from KMW (none of the 15 series backhoes are Bradco) is designed specifically for the 15 series with input from Mitsubishi. 2. I have not compared the units. I have heard nothing but positive things about the Woods unit, so I am not disparaging them in any way. I like the looks and features of the curved boom. 3. Financing options.

Coming from a Woods and a Mahindra dealer...
The Woods backhoe was hung on the 15 series long before the KMW backhoe and loaders were. When the 15 series wore a yellow and white paint job Woods was the OEM for those tractors.. I am a firm beleiver in the Woods hoe. Woods also states and it is posted in my show room that if their backhoe creates an issue with the tractor it will not only fix the tractor but it will also extend the tractor warranty for one full year from the date of the fix.

Sounds like Woods has the potential warranty issues solved, thanks for the education Rick.
