Smile Some 7010 questions.

Thinking about a used 7010 and have some questions. I would really like the 8560 but does not look like it will be out until some time mid to late year. I also think the price is going to be 40k plus.

1. Will the 511 backhoe go on the 7010? The Mahindra web site list the 511 for the 00, 20 & 30 series but not the cab 10. Is the 7520 basically the same as the 7010 but without the cab? I see the hp is off a few hp on the 7010, but otherwise look the same. Is there a problem mounting the sub frame for the backhoe on the 7010 cab because of where the cab connects?

2. How does the forward and reverse work differently on the 7010 compared to the 6000? Does it take less effort?

3. How does 25k sound for a used 7010 4wd, w/loader QA, 900 hrs, no visable signs of abuse, 50% tread, good shape, everything works?

4. How could I expect the 7010 to perform compared to my 6000? I see that the 7010 has 16 speeds compared to my 6000 with only 8 speeds and has more hp and pto hp. Is the difference substantial?

As always, my thanks to all of you and any insite you can provide.

First off the 7010 is a Korean tractor made by TYM for Mahindra.
There are no backhoes available for the cab tractors thru Mahindra

The 7520 is the MM tractor totally different animal.

The forward and reverse on both the 7010 and 7520 tractors will be similar they both have a shuttle lever.

If I am not mistaken your 6000 is a straight shift no shuttle correct?

25k is a decent deal.

I would think they would perform close to each other.

I have both. They are very comparable. The 7010 is more of a compact tractor than the 6000. Shift the same except with 16 speeds. 4 of those speeds I never use. I really like the agility of my 7010. I think the 6000 is a better built more robust tractor though. Like you I just couldn't stand the sticker shock of the new bigger cab tractor. They've refined the 7010 a bit over the years. What year are you looking at? Is the 3 pt lift control a dial or a lever?

It is a 2005. Don't know about the 3pt lift control.

I have owned a 7010 for 3 years and I have experienced many, many problems with little to no support from Mahindra. If you want details, let me know.

6000 has a lever control (ie. right side quadrant with levers for up/down and depth control). BobG in VA
