Default Gonna "pull the trigger" on new 4035 tractor

Hi All!

The local dealer just recieved one 3535 and one 4035. I am going to be signing the paper work on moday for the 4035. Initial test drive and "look over" really sold me. My only concern right now is the fact that the motors are not Mitsubishi motors but are their own. So has anyone heard anything about the Mahindra motors?

Thanks!

Brian

You probably need to go back about 3 or 4 years worth of posts....Mahindra engines are pretty much bullet proof...there iare one or two threads that would suggest that Mahindra couldn't figure out which way to turn to tighten a bolt but, I do know that my 6000 iis 6 years old (coming up on 7 in May) and has just over 300 hours on the clock. Nary a problem with the engine. Direct inject, designed by AVL of Austria who have been making diesels for about 80 or so years. Hope all iwill be well with your new freedom machine. BobG in VA

Interesting the appeal of the Mitsu engine. I like them also, as most people in the USA know a lot more about Mitsubishi then they do Mahindra. However, worldwide, the Mitsu engines make up a real small percentage of total global Mahindra tractor sales. The vast majority of the 100,000 plus tractors sold by Mahindra each year have a genuine Mahindra engine. They are built very well.

In the USA, where a huge chunk of the world's compact tractors are sold, we see a lot of the 15/16 series, for which the entire tractor (less loader, tires, etc) comes from Mitsu in Japan, so the percentage of Mitsu to Mahindra engines in the USA is probably fairly even.

I have a 4035 on the lot that just came in, and I am sure impressed with it. Pull the trigger, you'll be happy.

Thanks for the quick response guys. I appreciate the feedback. It looks like this motor should work out ok.

I'll let you all know how things work out.
