Default 2004 Mahindra 3510 Price check

Well, been shopping for a couple weeks and stumbled on a 2004 Mahindra 3510, 362 hours, ML112 Loader, 1 set rear hydrolics, canopy and a 5' Dale Phillips cutter for $8400.

You can see what I want it for here:

http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/b...-new-post.html

From shopping craigslist and local dealers for used, this seems like an outstanding price.

I've only seen pics online and will go check it out on Tuesday.

As a tractor newbie, what specifically, should I be looking/checking for?

Any 3510 owners/dealers wanna comment on this machine?

Thanks for any advice/opinions!

Sounds like a potentially excellent price to me, but impossible to tell for sure without seeing the machine in person, running it and understanding its history. Could be a deal or it could be an abused wreck. All depends on who owned it and how they used and maintained it. I've seen a couple used ones that I would buy in a heartbeat and I saw a couple others that you couldn't give me for spare parts.

Personally, I like to buy my used machines with some transferable factory warranty still left on them just to play it safe. Since I think Mahindra warranties are still 3 years long, I'd be looking for a late 2006 or 2007 tractor.

The 3510 itself is a fine tractor. It is made for Mahindra by TYM of South Korea and I have had very good service out of mine, including some recent hard construction related use. Keep the radiator clean when mowing, don't be overloading the FEL (I bent my FEL boom), maintain it properly and it just keeps on running.

It sounds like a great deal but on paper but everything can be made to sound good. When you look you should be able to tell if its a deal. The 3510 is a excellence little tractor, very well built.

Well, seems as though, that's what it was.

I went and saw it this morning.... I didn't even ask them to start it up. It looked run hard and put away wet!

Dents, scratches, faded bad, canopy dented up... and it looked like someone took a machete to the tires!

For a 2005 machine it looked BAD!

And so the mission continues...............................

Thanks for the offer but you're a little far away.

Got quotes today:

0% for 60 month on Mahindra
Mahindra 2816 gear: $14,948 (~$250/mo)
Mahindra 4025: $16,something... don't remember???

Branson 3510H : $17,145 with 0% for 72 month available (~$240/mo)

Anyway you slice it, I don't think I can afford a $15,000+ machine right now.

If it were up to my wife I'd be paying $5,000.

2816 is a nice machine - but only about 2/3 the size of the 3510.
4025 is a 2 wheel drive machine
Branson 3510 is a good machine - actual functional capacity is very similar to the Mahindra 3510, even though they're completely different machines. Has a slightly higher feeling seat, but I found the seat on mine to be more comfortable than the seat on my current machine.

good luck on your tractor hunt.

We have TYM 330 that is identical to M 3510 except 330 is HST. We have it about two years. So far we put on it only 130 hours of mostly front loader work and some bush hogging. It is hard to say anything about quality and longevity after only 130 hours but we didn't have even single glitch requiring call to the dealer. The paint quality on the sheet metal and scpecifically on the operator platform and hydraulic cylinders sucks though.
I personally would go and run the M 3510. Paint is cosmetic and can be repaired if desired. If it is mechanically sound you can't beat the price. We paid 17K for ours. The tractor supposedly has one of the best Kubota engines ever made. I talked to a guy who used to work for a transportation company using the same engines to run refrigerated semitrailers. He claims that those engines outlast any similar engine from CAT or JD or in fact anybody else.

If you can walk naked out of your house and p@e from your front steps then you can claim that you don't live just on an acreage but you live in the country.
