Default Competitive prices

Have Mahindra prices gone up in the recent past? I only ask this because the local JD dealer stated selling them less than one year ago and when my little boy and I went in to buy a toy I asked why their were not any Mahindra's out front. He told me the were not competitive, and that it was a mutual agreement for them to stop selling the brand. A couple of years ago when I bought my Kubota I was sure I would be getting a better machine for my money if I got the Mahindra I was looking at istead of a JD. IMHO this dealership just didn't want the compentition.

Interesting...

On the Mahindra web sites they post results of a poll of owners who own both John Deere and Mahindra tractors. 82% said they would buy another Mahindra.

Superior Performing Mahindra Tractors - Heavier, sturdier chassis, higher lift capacity and solid components

Sounds like the Mahindra was dropped for other reasons...

"Deere John,

I have run off with another tractor...His name is Mahindra."

Careful with those words, Deere will slap you with a lawsuit for copyright infringement.
Have you seen Mahindra's old ads?

Maybe some of the dealers still have the old ad or someone knows where one is in a magazine. They all disappeared when Deere threatened Mahindra over them. Good ad. I wish Mahindra would have kept it.

What was the content... or point that JD took offense toward?

The ad read Deere John, I've found someone new. It pictured a woman on a Mahindra tractor. Deere took offense to the Deere John part.
