Don't know if it matters or if you already figured it out, but the loader control can be adjusted by loosening the two bolts where it attaches to the upright. It took me almost a year to realize that one. Felt like an idiot.

Mine was set up and forward, loosened the bolts and was able to lower bringing it closer so not so much of a stretch.
