I felt your excitement through your post. I am glad that you are happy with it! Looks like a strong tractor.

The difference between cash/standard rate and 0% for 84 months is thousands of $$ on a 16 series. He may not have quoted you zero %, but it is worth clarifying.

Sooo, would you say a cash price of $27K for a shuttle 1533 with loader and backhoe is "fair" or is there wiggle room there? The 0% 84 month price was $30.8K.

I can't buy from you either, I'm in NW Vermont.

Last summer, I paid $24k for my 3016 with loader and bh. Everywhere I went I found very little wiggle room.

Based on the fact that the 1533 is a slightly larger machine than the 3016 and that the new TIER 4 stuff is a few grand more than the previous emission level machines, I'd say you're in the ball park.

That is a real fair price, better than our normal cash price on that unit.

I paid almost $29,000 for a 1533 HST with a loader, Tomahawk grapple bucket, Woods quick Hitch, Woods 72" finish mower, and Woods 72" Grader Scraper. I think I got a great deal. Been using the **** out of it.

Thanks Dave, good to hear from a dealer since they know what their costs are (tractor and infrastructure). Never having purchased a tractor before, I don't know how similar tractor dealers are to car dealers. The latter seem to be joined at the hip with the airlines. Everyone gets a different price depending on many factors even though the actual cost of a specific car/seat changes not a whit. I do know that the tractor sales guy is paid the same every week, not commission based so he has no incentive to price high and hope people don't know what a fair price is.

Oh what a nice world it would be if everyone sold at a fair profit margin and didn't play games. :)
