Found a 7010 w/Loader & cab- 2008 model, new injector pump, 1250 Hours, one owner. Asking $24500.
Want to look at it and need some advice from any 7010 owners as to things to look for that may cause repairs down the road. Not expecting a perfect machine, just what kind of issues are common to this model. I have a 3510 and it has some flaws but is still a great machine. Just want to be as knowledgeable as I can to decide whether this is what I need.
Due to all my health issues, I want to upgrade to a cab tractor for simple comfort. Average about 50+ hours year per tractor.

TIA

They are a nice machine made by TYM for Mahindra as you know since you owns 3510. Tractor House has five listed for sale the price varies from around $33K - 22K. They all were similar years with various hours. What do you plan on using it for? TYM cabbed tractors have been known to have a weak AC unit in really hot sunny weather.

Wildlife food plots, mowing, FEL work, dirt work, spraying, maintain property, etc. I have a 3510 w backhoe for digging. Just want a cab. Probably sell the 5500 when I find a cab tractor.

How many hours on your 5500? If I were you, I'd keep that tractor till the wheels fell off...they don't build them that way anymore...ie. planetary gears in the front end, even... BobG in VA

BobG

The 5500 4WD has 800 Hours- 500 when purchased. It is a good machine and simple. You are right. I need to keep it and put new tires on when the old fall off!

The 7010 had a lot of features light creeper gears, lots of 3point adjustments and operations. 3point electric lift buttons at the back of the tractor.. etc.. good heavy stout loader not common with the TYM series... and all around the the tractor was pretty well made... other than the cab itself. Now on the other hand..... say a lift solenoid goes out for the 3point... or any other special parts that were less common to Mahindra/TYM at that time... it could hurt the wallet..

I sold one just like that with 600 hours for $18,500 3 years ago

One could get an aftermarket cab potentially.

A soft cab maybe but I don't see anyone making real cabs, hard cabs, in the aftermarket. It's a fairly tiny little market to support something like that so the price would likely have to be more than what the OEMs want.
