Default Used Mahindra Value

Currently we are shopping for a tractor. We looked yesterday at a 2003 Mahindra 2810. It has an older Woods mower on the back and about 800 hours on the clock. No backhoe. Any ideas of the value of something like that? Looked to be in relatively good condition. Asking price is $14,000. Liked the tractor but I'm thinkin' it should sell for quite a bit less.

Any thoughts?
Thanks

Seems high to me, as well. Gear or hydro?

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the replies. It's not a gear, it has the hydro transmission and 4 wheel drive and also a canopy. Don't know if the 4 wheel drive was standard then and they don't make the model anymore to check. I think the price is way too high to even make an offer actually. With that many hours and out of warranty (plus in reading the old posts it seems as though that model had some problems) I think whatever offer I made would be insulting which I certainly don't want to be. I'm thinking in the $8,000 range actually would be the going price. I don't know what they are "worth", but I think that is about what it would sell for private sale. Mahindras seem to drop in value more than Kubotas or Deeres. Perhaps unjustly so, but my impression is that they do.
Thanks again and any more comments would be most welcome.

yumski, imo, that price is definitely high. my local mahindra dealer has new 2815HST w/o loader for 14950 and 16400 w/ loader. i'd guess that w/ 800 hours it'd go for around 10-12 at best.

as a comparison, tractorhouse has 2 2810s listed, one has 345 hours 4wd hyrdo and they want 13,500, the other has 98 hours, states it's a shuttle shift and they want 12,900 and it comes w/ 4' brush hog, both of course have FEL. granted regional markets vary in price, but still gives you a good ball park number.

I forgot to mention that the tractor does have a FEL. Maybe $8,000 is a tad low considering all that. I'm surprised to see the prices in the last post.

I did a google search for 2003 Mahindra 2810 and found the above among others. From what I see I think they are asking too much. 800 hours are a lot of hours. A new 2815 HST with a FEL list at $21710.00 That is before any neogotiating. Beside that you can get 0% interest for 3 years. O hours and 3 year warranty. I would say $14,000 is way to much for the tractor.

Just my 2 cents.

Hi jpm,
Your profile says that you have a 4110. Is that the price you paid for the 4110 or did you trade up?
thanks

Check with Wallace Tractors, he sells Mahindra and Kioti.
