I went to my closest dealer today to look at the 2415, they did not have it but did have the 1815 and 2015. The dealer told me the 2015 is actually heavier than the 2415. My question is, is the 2015 a better built machine over the 24 hp model? I know he said the 2015 has been around a while.

the 2015 and 2415 Gear versions are identical in weight....the 2015 HST is a bit heavier than the 2415 HST though.

The 2015 will do more than you could ever imagine. I also know that many of the 2015's have been dynoed as high as 23 HP. Pretty ruggid little tractor. The 2414 has a little stronger loader, but other than stated HP the two are real close comparisons. Also the 2415 has a little roomier operator platform due to different fuel tank location. I'm sure either tractor will do your job.

The 1815HST and the 2415HST have the newer hydro, quieter and less pedal vibration. The 2015 gear is a regular gear, the 2415 gear is a synchro-shuttle. The 18/24 use a newer loader style, not necessarily better, but different.

It is true that the 2015 dyno's at 22-23HP, it is also true that the 2415 uses the 2615 engine. Weight between the 2015 and 2415 is about equal, but the 2015 is actually slightly heavier as stated.

You should drive them all. I prefer the 2415. Other dealers prefer the 2015.

I just finished moving another batch of new england snow with my 2015HST and it's quite a machine. I've moved some pretty big chunks of ice with this machine over the winter and it makes it all look easy. One thing I liked when I went to see my dealer is he had a pretty good lineup of the 15 series tractors. At the time I was considering either the 2015 or a CK20 (Kioti). I did try the 2615, but I liked the fact that the 2015 was just a wee bit smaller and very easy to navigate with.

I have a 2015 gear drive. I love it. It does things that nobody expects a 20hp tractor to do. I use a 5 foot brush hog, a Woods b-70X hoe, 5 foot box blade. Its really pretty impressive. I wasn't aware that these tractors have more HP than what they are rated at, but I believe it.

The only thing that would make me like it more would be a live PTO. All the Hydros have this, but both the 2015 and 2415 gear are transmission PTOs. I've learned to work around that though.
