I, too, looked at the 6520 first but after checking the price difference have decided to go with the 7520. The dealer I have been speaking with quoted me a difference of only $1900.00 between the two tractors. The 7520 weighs a little more, has a little higher lift capacity, a couple of extra features and has a higher hydraulic output than the 6520. That will result in faster FEL operations if you are considering a FEL on your tractor, which I am. It is well worth the difference to me just for that alone but your also getting the extra horsepower, something I think will be a benefit in the long run. You might want to take a look at the 7520 and what that extra bit of cash will get you before you buy.

CuzPat62, did you ever find a 7520 to sit on? Or are you buying site unseen like I did? Just wondering.

srbruiser,
CuzPat spelled out the biggest differences, and that is why we generally stock the 7520 4x4 and not the 6520 4x4. People always talk themselves into the higher HP unit. I expect the 6520 would be totally satisfactory for most things though.

I'm curious, why do you guys think you need 6520s and 7500 tractors?
What are you doing with it? I have 67 acres and a lot of work to do. What does a 6520 go for 4wd with and without a loader?
What are you doing on your farm or business?

I am looking at a 4530 or a 5500 tractor. The 6520 and 7520 look like different tractors knowing they are bigger. Do they have Mitsuibishi engines?

I had a 6500 before and when they came out with the 7520 and open platform, I traded my 6500. I only have 10 acres, but it is very hilly and I like the extra weight and horsepower when I am using the fel or pulling loads of corn around for the corn furnace. Did I need that large of a tractor? No, but it handles the big round bales of hay excellent and does everything I want and as long as I am going to be keeping it around for many years, why not get something that will do everything I need to do and be safe. Just my 2 cents worth. Forgot to add, it is a Mahindra engine in my 7520.

Wow- You just answered a nearly 2 yr old post that had missed you at that time!
How many hours do you have on your 7520?
