would the tractor be able to handle a 4 ft rotary cutter for light bush-hogging? I saw on one website that they sold a light duty 4 footer that required only 15 hp min. Got a chance to buy a used 2015 right but it has to be able to handle light mowing with a rotary cutter. Thanks for any replys. Hopefully I'll hear from someone who has one!

Yes, it will handle the 4 footer in light applications.

That 2015 has a 20 hp engine at 17.5 hp at the pto. About the same as my 2005 Kubota B7510HST that I used with a 4-ft King Kutter rotary cutter in 4-ft tall weeds with no problem. Just have to move slowly and take your time with the mowing.

BTW: I traded that 7510HST last March for a Mahindra 5525 (54 hp engine, 45 hp pto) with the ML250 FEL (6-ft bucket). Mahindra's are nice machines.

No problem whatsoever. The engine in the 2015 is rated at 23 HP in almost all applications, as this is a common Mitsubishi industrial engine. Mahindra/Mitsubishi rated it at 20 in this tractor for some reason. Our dyno shows 20 HP at the PTO on this model, so about 23-24HP is what we are seeing. The new 2015's ae called 2216's, reflecting closer to accurate HP ratings.

I have a 2015 4WD. It does very well with the 4 foot hog. Power is not an issue. I have also used a 5 foot hog, and it handled that fairly well too. The issue with the 5 footer is more the weight than anything else. I'd go with the 4 footer.

Thanks for the replies,,, The pics really helped. That is much more than what I would be mowing. Have a chance to buy a used 2007 Mahindra 2015 (gear) with loader and 73 hrs for around $8000. It has a home made plow attached to the fel. Have had a JD 790, so I wasn't sure it would enough power.
