Default Mitsubishi 3L3-Y-2 Series 3cyl diesel

My new Mahindra 3215 HST came equipped with the 3L3 engine. As we know, Mahindra issues very poor technical documentation to support their products. I cannot find any reference to the 3L3 diesel on the website, including Mitsubishi Heavy Industries of North America located in Addison, Ill. They don't show this in their product list at all. I'm wondering if you are having similar problems. Also, where can I find a list of tool sizes that'll fit the bolts on the tractor and the attachments? Also, I want to change the fluid in the radiator but so far I haven't been able to find the drain plug! My Owners manual has a location picture but it's not very clear--as is all of their photos in the book. Thanks.

Welcome Ken. All you need to do is call your dealership and speak to one of the mechanics. They know what size wrenches and sockets you'll need. There aren't many, and like on my 2615, it is pretty intuitive. Just curious, why do you need technical documentation on the engine?

Thanks for the reply. I probably don't need a repair and maintenance manuals on the Mitsy diesel as I'm mechanically challenged but it'd be satisfying to have all of the technical data on a new product. IMHO, Mahindra made a big miscue by introducing a new line of tractors into the U.S. without adequate (or even readable) documentation. Their tractors appeal to the average Joe on the little farm many of whom are motivated by finances or by inclination must repair and maintain their own equipment. The situation is compounded by the scarcity of Mahindra dealers. My dealer operates his business by himself and has no mechanics. As for basic tools I just bought a 19 pc set of Penta-Metric sockets online.

Look online for Mitsu marine, generator and industrial engines. All of the Mitsu 3's are used in many, many other apps.

Thanks Outlander. I tried the Mitsubishi site you suggested. There's nothing there on the Mahindra 3215 diesel engine (3L3)series although they list several 3 cyl engines. I emailed to their hq in Japan but no response; neither from their USA hq.

The disk with all the 2815 and 3215 parts and service info appears on Ebay with some regularity. I have had one for a while now and I think it was $18-$20. That's what you really need no doubt.
