I wanted to post what has happened and then ask if anyone has advice. My tractor 2615hst has transmission problems. I have had it in the shop for 2 weeks and 2 days. The mechanic didn't know what was wrong with it and had to keep calling Mahindra to ask questions which worried me in the beginning. He told me Mahindra told him to replace the high pressure valves, so he did. He promised me it was fixed, ran 100% fine, no problems. It was delivered at 8am this morning when nobody was home. I was excited to try it out. It's 10 times worse now, I can't even drive down my driveway in high gear, nor downhill. Middle and low gears are proportinately better because the tractor has more power in those gears, but still not right. I have posted youtube videos (link below) if you'd like to see how bad it is now. Keep in mind with the videos, I'm pushing the pedal down as slow as I can to take off. I have been having issues getting hold of my dealer because he is always "out with a customer". I leave a message, no call back. Today was no different with a minor difference being my blood is boiling. I left 2-3 messages with my cell number and told the answering guy I'm driving out to see him. NO call, 30 minute drive. I get there, he sees me and makes a beeline toward his front door. I stop him, he says "my last name' right? I tell him my tractor is worse now, he said "Well,I don't know what to tell you" I ask him if he test drove it before he brought it back to me..and this is where I flipped he said "NO, Why would I, I am just the SALESMAN on the lot". He tells me I need to talk to the mechanic who has left for the day. I said You are the owner, not just the sales man! The business is actually his name..him and his wife run it. He walks away from me continuing towards the dealership and blowing me off. I yell at this point, when are you coming back to get it? He says "Tomorrow is Friday, so maybe sometime next week." I almost went with another brand because of his reputation and didn't a lot because of this forum and the mostly good experiences with other dealers, the brand and everything. I don't know how he put it on and took it off the trailer without stalling it. I don't know what I am going to do now. I tried calling Brenda and MUSA and it must be after hours so I left a message. I have one year left on my warranty, only 100 hours on the tractor, all maintenance was done. I was alarmed at the fact he seems very reluctant to come get it again. I am behind with firewood, landscaping..I just need a tractor. YouTube - 100 2516

Well I hate to say this because I am not looking to battle with any customer I am just stating the facts.
I sorry if I pi$$ anyone off with my comment.
I view all 3 video and from what I see and hear there is nothing wrong with your tractor.
You have a 26 hp hydro tractor and your trying to run it in high gear sorry man but high gear is about useless unless you are feathering the pedal all of the time.
Before you start to call me any names I am not speaking as a Mahindra dealer I am speaking as a 1999 Cub Cadet 30 hp owner that at 30hp would do the same thing as what yours is doing.
For those of you that don't know my Cub Cadet is the same EXACT tractor as the Mahindra just with a little more hp 30 vises 26.
Hope I didn't upset anyone but I always speak the truth.

I FIXED IT MYSELF! The rear brakes were stuck. I went to just to check if I could tell if anything was even touched or it just sat for 2 weeks and then returned. I was trying to find where the valves would be so I was moving the hst pedal. I then moved the brake pedal, saw it went to the back axle on both sides and all the movement that happened when I pushed on the brake was the slack being taken up in the linkages. I took a heavy hammer and pounded both "lips" back and it moved maybe 1/4 of one inch towards the back. I pushed the brake hard with my foot and it went back again, but would not back forward when the brake was released. I pounded on it again and I just took it around my house, down the road and through the woods happy as a little kid and I mean going 20mph! I can post pictures of the problem area if anyone else wants to see what I'm talking about. I don't feel bad about posting what I did, he has a reputation and I was just hoping for no problems. He lives a only few miles from me, but as mad as I am, I wasn't going to mess with his home life and thats why I drove out to his dealership. I'm so happy right now I can't even describe it!!

Wallace,
I use to snowblow in high gear reverse when we only had 3-4 inches of snow. I use to use high gear when just driving down the road, to my neighbors, dads..everywhere. I couldn't do that anymore, downhill in high gear and it should stall...right? I appreciate your comments, but you are wrong.

Well good.
You took it to dealer,he worked on it for 2 weeks, called mahindra, they told him and he did,to replace two valves, and all the time the brakes were stuck, and they were stuck when he brought it back, huh, humm.and other noises.
Strange ole goofy world ain't it.

You woulda thought the mechanic, would have found the reason you were bringing it in before working on it[the symptoms],than after replacing valves and it having same symptoms,it should have been pretty clear that it wasn't the valves and went back to drawing board.Course there is a big difference tween a parts replacer and a mechanic, but even so...

Matt,
Glad you found the problem. They don't run too well with the brakes on. Low ranges will overcome the brakes and you won't realize it.
One other thing I can suggest is to make sure you generously lube all moving linkages you can find at least twice a year. Especially any that go into the hydro trans. The last time I used my diff lock pedal it stuck down and would not release until I pulled the pedal up. After lubing the linkage where it go in with penetrant it started working again.

I noticed that my 2015 does the same thing. I've actually had mine stall out in high gear. I did notice the following though if it's any help.

1). If the tractor has been running for a while and the engine is good and warm, it will run in high gear just fine. I notice in the summer when I go out field mowing, when I am done, the tractor runs great in high gear even uphill.

2). If there is any kind of load on the tractor then I would never start off in high gear. I would start in low and run that way.

I find I use high gear only for the short period I am on the road.

I was about to tell you I could smell the brakes smoking on the first video
