I can get to the bottom of the filter and to the top 1" of the filter. So I use this $9 Fram filter pliers from Walmart to grab around the accessible top of the filter.



Works fine.

This is what seems to work for the 4530 too. The designers of these tractors didn't seem to take filter access into their design criteria.
