Default Re: Finishing mower or brush hog ?

I would recommend that you get BOTH a rear finish mower, and a brush hog. I've got a Rhino SE5 brush hog, and a King Kutter finish mower that has so far mowed approximately 1732 acres (5.5 acres, 35 times a year for the past 9 years) that I've only had to replace the belt and blades, and 1 spindle when a bearing failed in it. All easy repairs. King Kutter doesn't make pretty stuff, but it's decent quality, especially for the price.

I run a KK and it seems to be like the old Timex watch just keeps on going and at times I haven't been gentle with it. The way I look at it if it's a field then go with the rotary cutter, if it's yard which you want to look nice then by all means the finish mower.
