Default 2015 Implements

Need some guidance on whether to purchase 4' or 5' implements for my 2015HST 4wd. Looking at buying a boxblade, bushhog and tiller. Appreciate any suggestions.

I am by far no expert but I would thing for your tractor 4' would be the maximum width.

I would go for the 5' on the box blade and tiller and even the rotary cutter unless you are going to be doing some heavy cutting. The tractor is wider than 4'.

I have a 60" finish mower that I typically mow with in 1st Hi, sometimes 2nd Hi (I have gear drive) depending on the terrain and grass.
I also have a 4' brush cutter that will bog the tractor down in high tough weeds, but it could handle a 5' if you reduce the speed. The front end gets light if I take my loader off, so watch for that.
I use a 60" box blade and it has worked out real well and last I have a 72" rake.

Hope that helps, your HST should have slightly less PTO power but the HST mow than makes up for that in versatility.

I second LAWALLSTRACTOR, and CHARLIE175.

My 2015 handles a 5' box blade pretty well. With the scarifiers all the way down, in heavy soil with rocks, It will stop the tractor though. Not a power issue, but a weight/traction issue. That's with R-4 tires. Ags would be better for that kind of work.

As far as a finish mower... 5 foot, no problem at all.
As far as the brush hog... I've used a 4 and 5 foot hog. Although the tractor has the power to run the 5 footer well, the weight of the hog can be an issue. If you use a 5 foot hog, leave the loader on, and pick up a scoop of dirt to help keep your steer tires on the ground
