Default 2816 and sprayer attachment

I have a 2816 w/FEL. I am looking at sprayer attachments. I want to maintain about 5 acres of grass and control weeks in 4 acres of woods. I have looked at 3pt models with both PTO and electric pumps. My question is there an electrical connector on the 2816 to connect the pump or do i need to add one?

I'm 900 miles from my tractor, so can't run out and look it over very easily. Any info would be great.

Tx..

One approach would be to get a two piece connector, one end for the tractor side and the other for the sprayer. Use a clip like a battery charger has and connect it to your plus side of the battery and then run a section of wire to the back and then find a spot for the ground wire side. Then connect it when you need it. Also you might check into using coiled power supply cord from the tractor to the sprayer, less change of accidentally ripping the ends off.

Any auto electric repair shop should be able to wire it and make sure it is correct, so you don't have any fires or melted wiring harnesses.

Thats a good idea. I was hoping there was already a connector or plug that I hadn't found. My dealer is next to worthless, and even less help.

Welcome to the forum.

How do you like that 2816?

I think it is great. I don't get a chance to use it a lot right now, but everything I've done with it has worked out great. I have about 6 acres of grass and 4 of woods that keeps me busy with it when I get a chance to get out there.

I need to look at how to get it ready for winter. This forum is great, and I know I've seen some tips on that already..

Good to hear. Did you get your tires filled. If not, its something to look into. Like having a different tractor.

I dont have to much winter prep here in Louisiana. Winter always seems to forget about us.

A question not really asked but the electric sprayers to me are great for a lawn or spot spraying but for real use the PTO is much better. If you go that way use quick disconnect to hook hoses to pump so you can remove and flush the pump after use. I found doing so and then dropping the PTO pump into a 5 gallon bucket of oil really helps them last.
