Default 2615 HYDRAULIC PROPBLEM

Looking for some help please . This problem was self inflicted I have been very happy with my 2615 (just wish I had went bigger).
I was doing some clearing in my woods last sunday when I guess I hit a log on the undercarrrige , It contacted my hydraulic filter and snapped it off .
I had to replace my filter carrige ,so I had to remove the pipes from the side of the transmission to get the filter carrige off ,that caused me to loose all my fluid. I replaced the filter carrige and filter filled back up with fluids . Now it seems that I have air in the system at low idle the loader works fine but at fast idle its jerky . I have tried to bleed the system with know good results .Also i have noticed at short run times the fluid looks white in color suggesting further that I have air . Any help would be great thanks in advance.

The hydraulic system bleeds itself. You're doing the right thing. Just keep working the loader up and down, curl the bucket back and forth, and run the 3 point up and down. Repeat this until the problem stops. Check the fluid level. Eventually the air will get out.

PS. When you lose ALL of your fluid, that's probably close to 5 or 5 1/2 gallons on that machine. Is that what you put back in?? Losing all your fluid is really no diffierent than draining it all out to change it.

Yes, if the pump is running dry it will make more noise. I'm not sure how that could be though, if the loader and 3 point are moving up and down, and the transmission is full.

Does your power steering work OK?

I think I would pull the line off the pump and fill it with oil. Maybe the system lost its prime.

How long was the tractor running after you realized the fluid was gone?

It only ran for just a second ,before i shut it off and fixed it in the field . my power steering works great . and the loader as of now seems to have plenty of power i can lower it all the way down and pick up the front of the tractor but i still get that jerky motion up and on the way down . I will try what you have told me tonight ,and see if it gets any better I was just scared to really run it with it having some problems ..
sure appreciate your time

Don't bother messing with that pump.

If your steering is fine, and you can lift the tractor with the bucket, there's nothing wrong with the system. If your pump was dry, that wouldn't happen. Any air you have in there will work it's way out as you use it. I wouldn't worry about a thing.

Once in a while on my 2015, I'll raise the bucket at high idle, and it will have a "jerk" in the movement also. Nothing to worry about.

I know how you feel though. It's a condition called "paranoia."

It sounds to me like you may have an air leak on the suction side of the system. This could be very possible considering what happened to the tractor. Check all of your joints and lines in the area where the damage was.
