Thanks Boone, my better half took these pics, she keeps an eye on me because sometimes I forget my age, this time she had her new cell phone camera with her.

Nice going Buck. To date put up around 1350 square bales.

The Massey 1100 has a small problem, front coupler failure, so the 4530 has had to pick up the slack. It does everything but run the mower conditioner. Have about 4 acres left to do for first cut, waiting for mother nature to cooperate. Waiting on parts for the Massey ought to be up and runing by next week.

Edster,
Dang, that sure looks easier than way we did it years ago. The baler was usually finished and then we got there to load trucks, from the ground. One person picking up and chunking a bale up, and one person riding and stacking. How much does your stacking crew receive per bale?

Did it that way the first time I baled Brandi. Had close to 600 bales on the ground. After picking them all up and getting them to the barn my crew threatened me with a short rope and a tall tree if I didn't come up with a better way. This is what I came up with. The chute puts the bale waist high to the drop gate on the wagons. Guys pick them off the chute and stack them. Day before this picture we did 700 bales in 5 hours. With 1300 bales up I have done the math and it is costing me $0.25 a bale for the wagon help. so basically if on piece work the guys would be getting between $0.06 and $0.08 a bale, depending if there are three or four guys working that day. It works out ok but I am always at the mercy of who can work and when. I actually have a call in to a guy that has a thrower for my baler. If all goes as planned no more stacking crew on the wagon.

Or you can just go out and buy one of those expensive hay stackers that even dumps it in the barn!
