While researching that perfect tractor for me I have found a 2007 4530 with no fel and only 151 hours, industrial tires looks to be in good shape. Is listed at $11,500 could get if for a little less. I fel will cost me about $3,500 and new 4530 with fel about $22,500. I have 50 acres half open and rolling hills with a few barns. Plans include fence clearing, general grading work, bush hogging, snow removal and such. Presently have a 6' bush hog behind a David Brown 885. The next tractor i have needs to pull the hog effortlessly and be able to haldle all the above chores and more. Am looking at the 5035 and 5530 as well. Drove the 4530 and liked it but concerend with the power and lack of 12 gears. What expirence do you 4530 owners have. Any problems. Any difference in the model years. I understand the 4530 was reintroduced in 2010 after being pulled. Thanks for the help.

I have an 07 4530. Got it new. With the list of tasks you have lined up for it you would be hard pressed to find something it won't do. I have a 6'-0 bush hog and it pulls it with little to no effort.

I used mine for two years for a small hay operation. Did everything from mowing to pulling a NH315 baler with loaded wagon behind it. No problems. I understand your concern with the 8 vs 12 gears but in 5 years I don't think it has been a problem. I do remember someone once saying that while pulling a tiller they couldn't go slow enough.

The machine has plenty of power and the capabiltiy of putting it to the ground. No major issues with it other then front tires. Not a Mahindra problem.

Better double check on the cost of a front end loader, $3500 isn't even close to dealer cost on a ML245 loader.

That was the "ball park" quote from my local Mihindra dealer. You are correct and I should have him verify the price. If it is much more id be better of with a new unit. Since you are a dealer, maybe you know the price?

Probably, some where between $5,000 and $6,000.

I wouldnt hesitate to buy one my 2011 4530 has 63hrs and it still is like new. Had one minor oil drip under the belly and the dealer fixed it on the 50hr service.Enough power for me if I run it like you should, not dogging it too low !
Using a 6'ft rotary mower, and a FEL 245.
