Well I am having a little problem w/ my 5530.
It seems as though after running for about 15 minutes(Once its good and warm), in warm weather at around 1200-1900RPM it occasionally sputters, spits and blows white smoke like it is starving for fuel. Sometimes it will do it just idleing at those speeds and other times it takes putting it under a litte more load, like using the loader controls and moving the FEL. At times if you move the idle control to full position it will sputter a little and come right out of it and other times it will let out a large plume of white smoke and then run ok or what seems ok b/c I have not done any brush cutting w/ these symptoms too see if it is at full power.
I notice no loss of Anti-freeze the smoke it puts out is in no way blue or black(strickly white) and the oil looks great(still on original oil as I have aprox 80 hrs and the literature states to change at 100 hrs)
Corrective measures include fuel filter replacement, fuel screen(in-tank) cleaning 3X to make sure it did not have anything on the screen as the first time I removed it the screen was covered with what looked like a thin layer of cotton, removing fuel line and blowing it out.
My idea is that the timing may be a bit off or there is a problem w/ the injector pump(electronic timing adjustment/sensor ect.)
As the tractor is new(2011) I figure I must bite the bullet put $200 of fuel in the "good ole Ford" and trailer her to town where I purchased it and have an "expert" look at it as I am more of a shade tree mechanic when it comes to diesel engines especially anything this new.
If someone has experienced this, please, drop any info you may have gained.
I will repost when I get more answers.
Also I use PowerService throughout the season(fall, winter, spring, summer in the recommended doses).
My fuel is also attained from a reputable source, 5 gallons at a time so its not winter blend.
