I figure my Max 25 is using about 1.2 gal of fuel per hour of pto work. What should I expect? The machine is brand new with only 9 hours on it. I presume figure will change as it gets more broken in?
I'd be surprised if fuel economy changes. In the seven years I've owned my tractor, I've seen no difference. If your PTO work is mowing, you will use more fuel per hour. Other PTO attachments, i.e., log splitters, operate at lower RPM; hence, less fuel used.
