Default Extra bulb and fuse packet on 00 models

I'm afraid to leave the extra bulb and fuse packet in the compartment that it came in. There is no bottom to the compartment and I'm afraid that it will fall through and get lost. There isn't room to put it in the tractor tool box with the tractor tool kit in the box. I'm thinking of replacing the tool box on the tractor with a larger box.....one that doesn't fill up with dirt and water like the factory box does. Comments? Have you thought about another tool box. I have considered putting another one on my fender which is under the canopy. The one I have is green, so I would have to paint it first. Thats about the only place to put one that I can find.

Yes, another tool box would sure be handy. I think that the factory box is pretty worthless. Surely I'm not the only one that has problems with dirt and water getting in the tool box. What about the bulb and fuse packet that came in the "glove box" on the 00 series? Has anyone out there lost their packet by leaving it there? I'm afraid to leave mine in there with as much bouncing around as my tractor does.

YuKonMike: Don't want to seem dumb but I assume that the fuses/bulb are in the fuse box. Is this not correct?? I have pulled it out yet, what do I have in store when I do?? BobG in VA who just went over 9 hrs on the clock today on his 6000

Just below the ignition switch and a little to the left is another key hole. Insert the key and open the "glove box" Inside is a canvas black bag with spare bulbs and fuses and lynch pins etc.

Well, there you go...news to me. I don't even have the fuses and bulb, pins, or even the canvas bag. Everyone else got it?

Did you get your " How to Maintain your Mahindra '00' Series Tractor " video cd ? I think it shows the bag in the video.

I got one with mine, although it has not occourred to me that it might slip out! I better check and see if it is still there. I agree that a better box on the fender is in order, I am considering going with some type of heavy plastic box vs. a metal ammo box( they retain too much condensation). Have not had a chance to look at the CD-ROM yet. Chet
