Just wondering who has what model and possibly the serial and engine build date. I'm kind of interested as I picked up the 6000 4WD with FEL a couple of weeks ago.
I'll start: Model: 6000 4WD Mods: FEL MDL 264/fluid in rear tires/7ft brush hog Serial # RS 1457 Eng. Build Date 6-2002 Hrs on Clock(now) 9.0 Other thoughts: Noticed in a old post that Slippy had a "early" serial # and had a problem with shuttle that was fixed. What's your serial and what problem did you have?? Thanks in advance all!! I love this machine! BobG in VA |

I have watched to see if anyone responds to your post. I suspect they won't. I suspect there is some reluctance to post serial numbers of equipment for security reasons. I can tell you that my serial number is lower than yours, and I also got the 264 loader. I also have a 511 backhoe w/ subframe. The steering problem I had was in the linkage. It worked ok, but had more play in it than the later models. Once it was replaced, it was much tighter and easier to operate. I don't have fluid in my tires, but do have wheel weights.

Obviously didn't mean anything by it as far as being scared to put such info down. No one needs to put their serial down if they don't want to. Afterall, I don't have GPS coordinates of your tractor.......Slippy, I appreciate the response. It's kind of interesting to see where most of the models ended up and where the serials were dispersed. Wouldn't surprise me if the one after mine was in Kalamazoo Michigan (that you up there Yooperdave??). Anyhow I was most interested in the issue with the steering/shuttle and if possibly my serial was close enough to yours to keep an eye out for any problems. Thanks for your input. BobG in VA

Hi Bob,
Kalamazoo is below "the bridge" in Troll land . I am guessing that I am a 8 hour drive away up in the U.P. My Mahindra dealer is on the Wisconsin/Michigan border in Menominee, MI. Regards, Yooper Dave |
