    Default 4110 Range selector

The shifter for low, medium, high range will turn when shiifting. It will still change ranges if I hold it from turning but something is letting it turn. No grinding noise and pulls normal. Any ideas?

Interesting..... So the shifter shaft and knob are turning? I am curious to hear the outcome on this one.

Any ideas on what could cause the shifter handle to turn freely?

The entire shifter shaft is turning at the case. No nut to tighten up that I see. I am going to try an take it apart tomorrow. Trying to get some ideas on what to look for.
    Thanks,
