Removing hydraulic screen on 6500

I'm changing the hydraulic fluid on my 6500 4wd and can't figure out how to remove the hydraulic screen. In the manual, it just says to grab it at the base and pull to remove. I've pulled hard, soft, and in between and can't get it to budge. I can get it to turn, but that doesn't seem to help. Am I missing something or is there some type of trick that will help me?

Well I just went out to give it a try again this morning and realized there is a plate that is bolted to hold the screen in. I took that off and voila - it came right out. It really helps to work on things in the daylight!

could you tell me where the screen is my aux hydraulics on the back aren't working right maybe the screen blocked up
