Default mahindra 5010 hydrualic steering problem

After the thractor is used for about 15 min.'s the power steering quits working. but when the engine is cold its fine. also the dump on the bucket hesitates for a few seconds and then finishes its complete dump . the dumping problem just started. the tractor has only 26 hours on it. the dealer said the steering problem is normal on the 5010 series . Has any one heard this before?

Sounds like the dealer is blowing smoke up your skirt.....Not sure why your 5010 is doing what it's doing but it's not right!! I have over 300 hours on mine and I have never had the PS or the Bucket do what you say yours is doing. Maybe time to talk with the dealer one more time then call the district rep and get him involved with this problem. Good luck let us know what happens and how they fix your 5010.

Have you checked your fluid levels... maybe you are sucking air into the system.... ???

The power-steering issue is not normal. We've sold a ton of these. As to the loader, I'm not sure on the 5010, but some of the Mahindra models have a regen feature on the dump circuit if you push the lever all the way over hard, but right before you get all the way over is a little spot in the spool that does about nothing. Try either going over further with the lever or a little less and see if that goes away. If so, that is normal on that type of valve. In theory you can dump a little faster going all the way into that part of the circuit.

I have one of those regen loader valves and it does hesitate at first, and I swear it is actually slower then the regular dump cycle.

I have to agree actually. It is one of those "features" that to me doesn't have much practical value.
