In order to start the tractor I have to put one foot on the brake (normal procedure), I ALS0 have to have the other foot pressing down on the reverse pedal. If I let go of the reverse pedal the tractor goes forward.
If I try to start the normal way the engine dies as if it's engaged. Also there is some kind of electrical unit under the deck and pedals. What is that all about? A sensor of some kind? I see some kind of push/pull rod connected to the pedals linkage. But I can't see how to adjust it. It's on warranty so the dealer said they can look at it tomorrow. He is a new dealer just learning. Can some one shed some light?

Thanks in advance.

sounds like a spring on the reverse pedal might be missing/broken, causing the a spring on the fwd pedal to pull the pedal forward.

I may not even know what I'm talking about as I haven't checked my tractor to see if there even is a spring, but I suspect there is and that you're missing one...sounds like it anyway.
