A 10,000 lb tractor with a heavy duty bucket and hoe really get the job done

Stacking logs for processing into firewood. And general spring cleanup on a beautiful day.

Had my little 1526 out this afternoon [ planting trees in the morning when it is still cool this week ] and used my new last year EveryThingAttachments 6' rake to clean the branches off all my trails. Also rake'd up all the mess I had by my gate when I took down the big trees next to it. Took the 5035 out and removed the mess with about six bucket loads I put in the low spots on one of my new trails. Nice day out there....!!!! Life is GOOD..!!!! :)

Pulled some stumps here as well today. The 3550 is running well. Still don’t have my new backhoe bucket though. Been three weeks since Corporate told me it was approved under warranty. I had to have my neighbor weld the old up so I could get back to work with the hoe. UGH!

Me too! I pulled a stump about the size of my pickup. Used the ancient Woods backhoe to dig about 4' around the stump, and eventually got it loose. It was too heavy for either the hoe or the FEL to lift out, and pulling it out w/chains didn't work since it was so deep (maybe 5' deep). So, I used the FEL to dig a path to the bottom of the crater I made, and once there, used chains to pull it out.

I thought for sure that, given all the dirt still on the stump, I would come up short when refilling the crater, but surprisingly it came out very smooth. I now have a car-sized stump loaded with dirt, in my yard. I'm considering pushing it over the 200' cliff edge on my property, but seeing it laying in my yard feels like a badge of honor.

I think such a big stump once all the dirt washes off it will look pretty neat.

Put the 3550 to work digging some good ol' mountain dirt. Handles it with ease. First day breaking ground on my land!

Re: What did you do to or on your Mahindra today? Mighty max.

Ravaging the woods.
Knocking down and tearing out trees with my Excavator. Now the hard part, the clean up and wood cutting.

Cutting off a stump I got my chainsaw stuck, sou out comes the max to gently pull away the stump.

Out of curiosity, I tried to lift the stump still filled with dirt with a rock buried in the roots.

I was amazed the max was able to pick it up, going into relief with the bucket about 18" off the ground.

Even with 700 Lbs of steel/concrete counter weight and the rake on the back, the rear was so light it barely moved in 2WD on flat ground.

No way I was going to carry it to the dump ground over uneven ground, so I went and grabbed my L39.

I was shocked to feel how heavy that stump was that the Little Max picked up, carrying with the L39 to the stump dump.

I'm estimating it was 1500 lbs. The Max has its relief set up an extra 150 Psi or so. and curl cylinders off a 1526.

Impressive that a Mahindra at 3,400-3500 lbs could lift such a load and keep it's rear tires on the ground (Just barely)

Note the bucket on the L39 is 72" wide, so that was not a small stump.

Finally got my home made canopy completed. Had to wait a couple of weeks for my buddy to weld the brackets for me.

Now before you beat me to death about the height of the canopy being lower than the top of the roll bar...there is a very good reason. On occasion (once a month or so) I have to put the tractor in the main garage that only has an 8' high door. I have exactly シ" clearance from the top of the roll bar to the bottom of the open door. And I didn't want to tear the canopy off, or damage the OH door with the canopy being too high. And I still have plenty of head room for egress, and I'm 6' tall.

Used a golf cart roof and 90* support arms I got from a golf cart junk yard for $20. Got a 2 sq ft piece of 1/8" plate, cleaned 'em up and painted everything for $10. And I imagine I'll spend another $15 taking my welding buddy out for pizza and beer as payment...but that comes under the heading of "fun"
:drink:

Also, because I'm in the south, I painted the top of the roof white, to reflect the sun. The sides, and underside are painted to match the tractor. Unless you're on a 8' ladder, you don't notice the white roof, unless you're pretty far away, and I don't think it looks that bad.

Works great for shielding the hot sun, and the rain run off will go out over the front of the roof, rather than down my back.

Welded a grab hook on my new bucket. Might not seem like a big deal but I have found this to be one of the most useful additions to have on an FEL
