Stabilizer Turnbuckles (backwards?)

I am wondering if Mahindra mounted the stabilizer turnbuckles "backwards" on my 4110. These turnbuckles have a locknut closest to the implement. I tighten the turnbuckle, tighten the locknut, and they still get loose. Looks like they mounted the locknut where the turnbuckle couldn't get any tighter, not looser. At any rate this setup does not keep the boxblade from swaying back and forth after just a few minutes of use. The turnbuckle hits the tire, spins loose, and the box blade starts moving all around. Anyone have any ideas?? I think the turnbuckle may be backwards!?

On my 2810 the locknut is closer to the axle. And I thought mine was backwards. I figured closer to the implement would be easier to adjust. I guess I'll leave it as it is.

Funny you brought this up. I just received my 3015 and found the same thing. I have to constantly tighten the turnbuckles to keep from swaying.

Is it possible to take them apart and put the locknit on the other side?

If anyone has any insight, sure would appreciate it.

guys, the threads turn the same way. It wouldnt matter which side the nut was on. the inside is left hand and the outsideis right hand, or vice versa, I'm not looking at it. Mine start to loosen up also, but I never have used the jam nut yet. I just reef on the turnbuckle a bit more. So far, the more I reef, the less I get loose.

I got a 2015 and when I'm using a bushog or a boxblade I tighten the locknut with 2 crescent wrenches. I does not come loose yet and the locknut is just aft of the turnbucle (closer to implement) My2¢

Its just a jam nut to hold the turnbuckle tight. You jam the nut against the turnbuckle tight and then in theroy the turnbuckel wont loosen. A turnbuckle when is turned either draws both side together, or pushes them apart. It goes both ways, it cant be backwards.

I have the same problem but do what Bluecheck does and use one wrench to hold the buckle and another to tighten the nut down onto it. it doesnt come loose after that, just takes a little more effort when swapping implements. I was just wondering if there was a Jam nut on both sides of the buckle, would it be easier to tighten them down? That way you could turn both nuts toward each other and not slip. Just a thought.

I just bought a 2615 hst with a fel 2 weeks ago What a nice tractor. I just hook the bungee cable to each turnbuckle handel that way they cant turn.And you don't have to mess with a wrench.

I had the same problem. Some low strength locktite took care of it. You can buy it it stick form now. Make sure you use the "Hand tool removable" grade. I can't remember the grade numer right now.
