Default Another Weekend Project

Since I live in Arizona, I have wanted to put a Cup holder on the tractor, but I wasn't sure the best way to do it. So after looking around this site and finding a member who mounted a Motorcycle type cup holder, that gave me the idea I needed to make one for my tractor. I wanted one large enough that I could put those 52oz insulated mugs in, and I wanted to find a place that it wouldn't get in the way. Tell me what you think.

I really like that idea. Can you provide a few more details? Is the actual cupholder PVC?

The actual cup holder is a piece of 6" pvc pipe. When I got my tractor, the company left in the toolbox the mounting covers for the FEL. Why I used it, is it's just a little bit wider than the ROPS, I could utilize the two studs that were on each side. this would cause it to wedge and not slip when mouted to the ROPS. I welded two 1/2" bolts to the end of the studs. Then I took a piece of 3/8 x 1/2"x 6" drilled holes in it so it would line up with the bolts I welded to FEL bracket. On the other side of the bracket that would support the cup holder I welded another 1/2" bolt to the center of the bracket. I then took a piece of flat steel 3/16" x 1 1/2" x 11 5/8" heated it up and bent it so it will support the PVC pipe and be mounted to the 1/2" bolt. I used 1/4" bolts to attach the steel to the PVC Cup Holder.
