Default 3525 Hood

Anybody on the board that can tell me how to open the darn hood on a Mahindra 3525? I've owned this thing since early spring and have over 50 hours on it but I haven't figured out how to get the thing open. According to the manual, just release the latches on each side and lift from the rear, But, how the heck is the hood gonna clear the precleaner pipe. It looks as if the hole should be slotted at the rear but its not.
Actually, I've never Needed the thing open before but with 50 hours plus its time for thinking about serviceing the thing. Maybe this thing is like a Rolls Royce...so trouble free the hood is sealed?
Please help, this is embarrasing enough without having to go to the dealership and ask them.
Thanks
Jim

Don't feel bad, I've wondered the same thing about my 3525. It will be interesting to see what everybody has to say. Mine has around 150 hours with no problems.

Wiggle and twist your precleaner and it will come off.

I've checked a few things, but haven't opened the hood yet. I figure I'll change the oil soon and will worry about it then.

Have any of you that own 3525's with Front End Loader changed the oil yet in the Air Cleaner ? Can it be done with the FEL still on ? What oil is used ? Just a 30w or something ?

Pull the pre cleaner straight up and it will come off and yes you can change the oil with a loader still on it
