Well I got it fixed. I put a NEW one on there. Bought it from my dealer for $60.00. The new gasket costed $8.00. It was not too easy of a job to do.
While I was at it, I decided to change my PTO shaft seal, which should've been done after bailing hay at the end of last year. Seal was $8.00. I also changed my engine oil and filter, transmission/rear end oil, hydraulic oil and cleaned suction screens, and changed my air filter oil bath, cleaned air filter and wire mesh screens. I also had to buy a new battery $70.00 (Autozone) because the old one fell through the rusted-out bed of my truck when I went to have it and the alternator tested. (Turned out to be the blown charge light indicator bulb.) Washed it today with my pressure washer. So, all my maintenance is done except greasing the tractor and applying rubbing compound and wax to the hood and fenders. With all of this on top of work, WHAT A WEEK!! If I had to buy another tractor, no doubt in my mind it would definitely be another MAHINDRA 100%. VERY TOUGH AND DEPENDABLE TRACTORS. Travis |
