Any folks here own a Mahindra Tractor in Maine? If so, what did you buy, where did you get it, and how do you like it? There is a dealer down the road and they look like decent tractors too me. Very similar to the older Cubs (I've been told some of them used to dress in Yellow...) Any input would be great.
Thanks. |

I live in central Maine and bought a 4110 w/FEL last October from the JD dealer in Union. I've got 110 hours on it so far and have been very pleased with it. I spent several years and countless hours researching and testing other brands (JD, Kabota, NH, Case, MF and Cub Cadet) before I bought this. I was interested in something that would stand up to hard work; not so much in the bells and whistles (I don't have HST or a coffee cup holder).

Yardster, The 15 series Mahindras use to be the full line of Cub Cadet Diesel tractors but it looks like CC only has two now. The 15 series is made by Mitsubishi and it is one tough tractor. Under the Cub label it was 719X (19HP), 720X (20HP), 723X (23HP), 726X (26HP), 727X (27HP), 730X (30HP), and 7360. They were all Mit, and I have the 7234 model. They were produced for Cub for 8-10 years and a couple of models were made for Case before that. The Mahindra 15s are virtually identical in most cases except for the Red paint job. I believe all filters, etc come via the long pipe line from Mitsubishi to Mahindra on to the consumer. I own the CC version but I wouldn’t hesitate to replace it with a Red version if money wasn’t an object. I’ve been to Hammond Equipment in Auburn for two of their Mahindra Open Houses, (they just had one two weeks ago) and have bought some things from Cliff Hammond. It sounds like the other Mahindra models are also top notch but I’ve lived with the Mitsubishi model now for 8 or 9 years. The bio’s don’t display much info on a lot of folks, if you want more info PM me. Also read in the Cub section for some of the models above.

What are you folks paying for a 2615? I pulled in for quick stop today and was told $16059 with FEL. That is the off the street price, with no negotiations, but even still, that seems high doesn't it?

Yardster, When Hammond Equipment had their open house they sent out a flyer. The 2615 gear model was listed as $15,050, and the hydro as $15,995. Both are 4WD w/FELs. Those were prices on March 25th.
