Default 3215 gear tranny price check: comparison to L3400

I have been bouncing back and forth between Kubota L3400 and a Mahindra 3215. I was surprised when I got a quote of $18300 for a gear tranny with FEL for the 3215 and I can get a L3400 for $16200. I thought that I would save some bling by going Mahindra, but I have to pay more for 2hp less. I understand that the north east prices are outrageous but I am tempted to grab a trailer and go south. Help would be appreciated.

I am from New Hampshire. Can someone explain to me why we get raped here in the northeast?

hey puck,

i just bought a new '06 4110 with FEL for $19,800. you'll find that the dealer i bought from has the absolute lowest prices on mahindra tractors. he even has people in northern maine that buy from him. pm me if you want the dealer info. when i was shopping around, his prices were a minimum of $2000 less then other mahindra dealers. Puck, Dealer price at an open house in Auburn, ME recently listed the 3215 w/Bobcat Loader for $17,850....18,700 for the Hydro. I believe the 3215 is the new model but the older 3015 Hydro with regular loader was $16,995. I thought that was decent price.

What do you mean by "Bobcat" loader? Do you mean skid steer style quick attach on the front?

That is the way the dealer listed it in his flyer but yes it had a couple of levers on it that released the bucket to add other things on the loader. That same arrangement is on the 2815 and 3215 if I remember right.
