Also some pictures of his problem tractor would be nice to see
That way we could all help him out.

I agree. Pictures would help. There are several of us here and the brand makes no difference, if we can help.

I appreciate your current post much more than your first, your last quote should have been your first. I am not hiding my head in the sand i do not live in some fairytail that only post happy things. Tell us what is broken, tellus what has gone wrong. Leave out all the personal attack stuff on Mahindra that spears comment after comment on this forum. Just read back a few threads this goes on and on. I search for information that is useful, your last reply was exactly what i believe to be a proper responsibly written reply. I am not offended by you or anyone else who writes about what breaks, malfunctions, etc. Making irresponsible comments about Mahindra being an inferior brand is wrong. Name one vehicle were some light stops working, knob breaks, trim come loose, tire leaked, starter went out, etc, etc. Does this make the vehicle inferior, things go wrong with mechanical devices, but none of the above have stopped me or any of you from putting 100,000 plus miles on your fords, nissans, isuzus, chevys, toyotas, and i don't think we call them inferior or lemons. If you have a true lemon we all sympathize with you, get rid of it and move on, by another mahindra or some other brand if that makes you happy (and **** tell us how that one is doing). Bottom line things break you fix them, then you share information with others who might be able to use it. Making irresponsible comments about an entire brand being inferior is wrong, you know that. This is a forum of Mahindra owners, don't be suprised by people defending the brand, share your experiences and tribulations, write it responsibly like you did in your last response and i for one would appreciate it greatly.

Kenb, you still haven't answered everones' questions? What has the dealer done to help/not help?....Is your tractor still under warranty? I don't even keep my cars in the garage, much less my tractor....Maybe it would help if you told us what it is that you do with your tractor that causes all these issues (cause/effect). Also, pls don't use your upper case unless you MEAN TO YELL AT SOMEONE. Let's be civil and hope we can help each other out. BobG in VA who personnaly gets put off by hand wringing, as I see enough of it from Congress....

I have 50 hr. on mine its a 3525 w/fel and its a 2006, my cousin has an old fifety horse Mahindra and his has near 2000hr., and a co-worker of mine that also has a 35 horse Mahindra has 850 hr on his (in fact it was his tractor that i played with that made me buy my 35hp). Have they had things break on them? SURE, One of my best friends that owns all the land around mine has two old Fords and an old JD and things break on them all the time, i don't think they have many of any original knobs, switchs, or gear shift knobs on them, they all broke years ago. All of the above tractors including the mahindra's still run good and do their individual work minus a few of the original amenities that came with them. Things break you fix them and forums like this is were you share you experiences for all to learn. Thanks for being a good sport, i do appreciate it.

This is all from memory and mine ain't so good anymore!

Ken, you bought your tractor about the same time I bought mine (early '04). You have never been happy with the service (reliability) you have gott'n from it. You bought it from Knox? Have they fixed it for you.

I do hope you can sell it for a fair price and buy something you like.

Well, no it is not under warranty.
Sorry for yelling.
I have had a lot of things go wrong with this tractor, and the dealer has fixed most of it up until the warranty ran out. But to have things constantly go wrong is very frustrating when you are just trying to get in some "seat time".
Everyone has there opinion, and mine is not that good on this brand. Sorry.
So far these things have gone wrong with it:
1. Defective oil filter seal problem - nearly all of us got to experience that one in the 10 series.
2. Defective seat - cracked
3. Defective gasket around the hood.- cracked and dry rotted.
4. Bad boot on the steering gear.
5. A small limp smacked the front end and cracked the cheeeep plastic grill.
6. PTO Solenoid problem - would not engage.
7. Broken break pedal lock. The tractor would pop out of the break and come rolling forward which was very dangerous.
8. Paint just peeling off in sheets on the roll bar. - Costmetic
9. Now a light switch just fell off from driving only. Nothing even smacked it.
That is all I can think of for right now. I am sure if I got out my receipts there would be a few things I left off.
Yeah... I will probably sell it so that I won't bother anybody here.

I do think that the 3525 (series) is probably made better than the Korean 10 series. Glad you are happy. I was too at 50 hours.
