Default faulty filter

i know you havent heard from me in a while but i just though you all should know that mahindra may be having problems with oil filters for the 10 series. my new 3510 had the oil replaced at 47 hours and before hour 53 the filter failed lost all oil in minutes while mowing tall grass the engine light never went on and the motor does not have a murphy switch needless to say the engine burned up. i got the tractor on the trailer and off to the dealer i went, who found out that mahindra has had filter problems lately. why they didnt mention it to them is beyond me. just to let you know that engine is toast.

anyone who has been a member for awhile may remember my post of 10 series buyer beware. to update all of you i got rid of the problem 2810hst and traded up to a 3510hst with a different dealer. my dealer is now almost two hours away but is much better to work with. my old dealer by the way is no longer in business. anyway i just thought i would let you know. the new 3510hst only gave me one problem which may have been self inflicted by a stick which must have broke a wire to the pto which was fixed on my dollar but then again it may have been my fault

my new problem is this i can keep the 3510 and get a new engine, get a new 3510 all together or upgrade to a 4110. the dealer is offering me great deals for the problems i have had in the past two machines and is willing to take a beating to keep me in the red so to speak.

if you have any questions about the filter my dealer is pulaski chase co-op in packer country wisconsin.

justin,

Sorry to hear about the filter but it sounds like you may be in for a good deal. Which one you thinking of getting? Glad to hear you have a better dealer now.

It's a shame you have more problems, and such serious ones .
On the bright side that dealer sounds like a good one .
Let us know what you decide.
