Default Mahindra 7520 Delivered Today!!

I took delivery of my new Mahindra 7520 4 WD today. I got it with the ML 275 loader, skid steer quick attach adapter, skid steer 84" bucket, skid steer pallet forks, skid steer bale spear, Mahindra grille guard and the aluminum diamond plate canopy. My dealer delivered it this morning around 9:00 a.m. and would you folks believe me if I told you that I did not get to drive it until 6:30 p.m. this evening? I had promised my wife that she could be the first one to drive it and so it sat all day long in the carport until she got home at 6:30. She changed clothes and got on it and drove it around our yard. Then I finally got to play with it a little before dark.

Two things I have questions on. On Mahindras website and in the brochure for the 20 series, it says that the 6520/7520 comes STANDARD with a locking glove compartment and a locking fuel cap, and that the ignition switch key fits them. My tractor has the glove compartment but it does not have a lock on it and neither does the fuel cap. Any of you know the deal on this? Do any of you 6520/7520 owners have these two locks? Did they just leave them off of my particular unit? Mine is a 2006 model but they advertised this in the 2005 and the 2006 brochure.

I sure like this tractor. I hope it will give me many good years of service. I am planning on hooking my disc mower to it on Monday and cutting 25 acres of hay. Will let ya'll know what I think of it after I put it to work!

We have sold several of the 6520/7520 tractors in the last year, and have NEVER seen one with a locking glove box or locking fuel cap. There are locking glove boxes on the 00 series tractors and locking fuel doors on the 25 series tractors. I have to assume that the information you saw was in error. Mahindra as a company is producing some pretty good quality handouts and flyers, but some of it isn't all that accurate.

Enjoy the new tractor!

Is that a change in the past year? The manual I got last October with my 4110 was obviously written by someone who doesn't have a basic understanding of the English language. The decals are similiar. I'm very pleased with the tractor but I suggested they get someone who understands English.

It doesn't answer your question at all but my 5500 has both with locks.

CuzPat62, you sure have more will power than I do. There is no way that I could have waited 9 1/2 hours to test mine out. Regarding the locking glove box and the locking fuel cap, forget about them , I don't believe that they exist for the 7520's. It took me 90 days of complaining to get my wheel weights and jerrycan weights. I have 4 factory holes on the right side of my cowl, nobody could tell me what they were for . Mahindra insisted that they didn't exist, I never have found out what they were for . With all that malarkey out of the way, owning and operating the 7520 4wd has been pure pleasure. I only wish that I had known about the 3rd rear auxiliary valve when I ordered mine. Cost prohibitive after the fact. Be sure to get some action pic's cutting that hay.

Good luck Brian

Very nice! Hope you get to enjoy it more. If waiting was the only thing you had to do, you are lucky.

Have they changed the height of the draw bar? It was originally set too low and the ratio between the bar and the pto was off.

Enjoy.
