Have a new 4530 Mahindra, and it is working out very well. But I have a question. I have been completely through the manual, and cannot find where to check the hydralic fluid level. Any one out there know?
Thanks!! |

On my 6000 it is in the back above the pto shaft, has a dipstick with a ring on it. Just pop it out, it is a little difficult to see.

I again went over the manual, and found the following passage in the section on the transmission:
"The oil and reservoir is common for Transmission, Hydraulics and Steering" However, in the specification section it states: "Fully 'live' hydraulic pump & separate reservoir" So, I am still somewhat at a loss. |

Don't know if yours is different, but my old 5005 has a square nut on the right top of the reservoir behind the seat. You unscrew the square nut and there is a dipstick attached to it.

If you can't find it in the manual I'd be calling the dealer. You'll have an answer right away.

This is where the level and fill is on the 00 series as Bob is describing. Sorry, you can tell I didn't take this picture for this purpose but it should give you an idea.

I have been off from work with knee surgery, so I haven't had my books to look up the location of the fluid level check. Also I can't remember the exact location, but I can tell you the 00 series is different. The 30 series has a common sump for the hydraulic and transmission/rear axil. The 00 series has the separate sump for the hydraulics. When I get back to work I will look it up and let you know where it is, if no one else has given you the answer by then.
