| 2810 4WD I ran across this ad in a a local rag this morning and thought some here may be interested. I am in no way associated with this tractor or it's owner, nor have I spoken to the owner about the tractor. It just looked like a good deal. If posting this here violates any policies of TBN, please let me know and I'll promptly remove it. Quote: | MAHINDRA 2810 4WD TRACTOR, front end loader, 5' rear tine tiller, 5' bush hog, 5' box blade, canopy cover, ag tires, 28 hp diesel, only 64 hrs, $11,000.00 firm, Mark @ 477-9874 or 960-2327
| This being in a Tuscaloosa, AL publication, I have to assume that the area code for those phone numbers is most likely 205, but may be either 256 or 334.

One thing that I would caution any buyer to a newer tractor is make sure all leins are satisfied before you put up your money, or else the "good deal you got" maybe the the good deal you had. |

| Re: 2810 4WD Like I said, I just saw the ad in a local classified magazine. If I wasn't already a happy Mahindra owner and had the cash, I'd definitely look into it. But, as others have stated, buyer beware!

One could/should ask for paperwork verifying ownership, such as original paperwork from dealer. Ask for the name of the dealer/previous owner they bought it from from. One sould also ask for a lien release to verify ownership, if applicable. One could also call the local sheriff's department and have the VIN checked.
In my area there have been tractors and attachments stolen from hunting camps and other remote locations. I suspect that some of these have been sold as a good deal, but if it is ever learned that they were stolen, your troubles would have just begun!
If someone would be evasive or annoyed by any of the above requests, BUYER BEWARE!

| Re: 2810 4WD Keep in mind that in most states tractors do not have titles so I would get a serial number and call the local dealer and they should be able to find it out.
Now remeber we are talking a machine less than 5 years old would most likely fall in this catogory.
If it seems to be to good to be true than do some home work. |

| Re: 2810 4WD Without getting into details basically what happened was a guy sold his tractor that wasn't paid for to another individual, the original owner got behind on payments and it was going to be repo'd from the second owner who thought he had already paid for it and owned it.
