If the wife would let me get the last tractor that I looked at, even I would like red, but then I would have to buy these orange disks, and I don't know how much I would like that color combination. Well after thinking about it for about a second, I would like it just fine.

1st pic, me on my new Case. (I can dream can't I)

2nd pic, my brother next to my new disks (I'm still dreaming)

If I remember right, those disks weigh in at 890 lbs per blade. They actually make a narrow set that is only 9' wide if I remember correctly. After all, it only takes 5 hp per foot to pull these things, right? Shoot, with that new tractor I could pull a 60 footer. It wouldn't matter anyway, they only go to 23' wide. Back in the real world, it takes a minimum of 450 hp to pull that 23' model.

Lets see, for about 350k I could get my 80 acres disked real good in about 11 hours instead of the 35-40 hours that it takes me now. I guess that I will go back to dreaming about that red machine.

Well, that disk and a proper pulling unit would make short work of some of the logged land some fellows want to work down.
