Default Looking at a 2600 series

Hi everyone I'm new to the forum, been reading a lot so I decided to become a member. I'm looking at getting a new Massey 2625 4WD. Has anyone bought one of these tractors? I'm looking at the getting one with the base 8x2 trans and live pto, anyone know how much they are going for, or what's the best price? I currently have a Massey Ferguson 231s and it's a great tractor, just want something with better brakes and 4wd. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to TBN. I have a 98' Massey Ferguson 231. I have looked at the MF 2600 series tractors online. Those are some good looking machines. Im sure you already know but i'll mention it anyway. MF is the way to go!

If they didn't make Massey Ferguson, I'd own a Mahindra.

Travis thanks for the welcome! I too think Massey is the way to go, best tractor for the dollar, and very reliable. I use to have a 99 Mf231 it was a great tractor, kinda wish I still had it. My 231s is a 2000 model I sold the 231 to buy it, I just liked the layout better on the 231s(seat, hood, and parking brake). As far as the 2625 4WD the best price I've found is $17,200 cash, or $18,600 finance 0% for 48 months, you lose the rebate if you finance, but still seems like a great price compared to JD, NH, and kubota. Well if anyone knows if this is a good deal let me know. Thanks

Well I went and bought me a new 2625 4WD. I really like the new look and the extra power compared to the 231s. I plan to add a front weight frame and weights to the front, after I get my new 7ft bushhog. I also just bought me a new 2009 Hooper 7'X20' 10,000lb trailer. The only thing I need now is a FEL any ideas on the cost of a DL250 FEL, I will also have to get two SCVs mounted? Here are some pictures with my 2006 bushhog sq720, and a 5ft box blade on the 231s.

Man, do you actually use your tractors or do you just buy em' for collector's items?!! I absolutely Love those pictures!! That is the best lookin' 231S I have ever seen. But then again, I don't recall me ever seeing an ugly lookin' Massey Ferguson! Them MF'ers are tuff!

Thanks for the comments. Haha yes I use them, but don't abuse them. The 231s is 9.5 years old I got it when it first came out in August of 99 and it has 433 hours. Both tractors are waxed and cleaned after each use, I try to take care of my stuff!!

Thanks Travis! I use a product called Driwash, it's a waterless carwash/wax all in 1. It prevents rust, takes out small scratches, protects from acid rain and oxidation, and leaves a mirror like finish. It takes 1 rag to buff in and 1 to buff out. My aunt works for the company so I get unlimited amounts from her.
