Default broken 1528

Well something finally broke, part of the framing that holds the front axle broke. it's the part that is welded between the frame rails that the front and rear support pivot assembly bolts to, broke in the field. warrenty doesn't cover it.
The part that broke is between the frame rails and is welded into place.
the service manager looked at the same time I did and could see that it had to have been cracked during the manufacturing prosess. you could see a strip of pant then a strip of rust then a bright shinnie strip were it snapped off.
right in the middle if the brush hogging season and this has to happen. just my luck.

have fun out there guy's

Are you out of warranty?? That sucks. Are you going to fix it yourself then?? Once our warranty is up, any/all repairs will be done by us.

Good luck, keep us posted.

Remove the part and take a very good picture of the fracture.
Take 100 pictures if necessary to get the one real good one that shows the initial defect.
Set down and write a nice and polite letter to Agco asking only for the replacement part. Include a statement from your local service manager in support.
Tell them that you don't want to rip them off, you like their product, but heres the evidence of an unfortunate flaw.
I can't believe that they won't supply a replacement part in the face of an obvious MFG defect.
I don't care if the warrenty is a year past; if you ask in the right manner and present the proper evidence, they will help you.
If not, well..... green or blue is a very good color to look at next time.
Give Agco a chance to show their true color!
Be nice and polite; you're asking for help.

See if your dealer will give you a loaner while yours is down. That's one thing my dealer has always advicated, if my tractor broke while on the job,he would supply a loaner[ one reason I bought M/F],haven't had to take him up on it yet. I read somewhere that a owner of a 1531 found loose bolts on his front pivot that holds the front axle. I need to check mine. plowking

Here's the update, massey has worked with me, the warrentee was for 3 yrs. the 1st. 2 yrs covers all, and the final yr. only coversthe power train(as they say).the front drive shaft spline snapped off, the frame support that holds the front axle broke and that part was $600.00, bucks all by itsself. well mf said they would pay for that part and all the other axle parts, since the front axle is part of the drive train. all I have to do is pay for the install if the frame support. the rest they pick up the bill.
but here is an heads up, the service manager said that on the 1528-1531
the made a disign change somewhere during the 06 production yr. so I believe thats why they disided to by the part for me. and so, I guess I still have a little luck left
thanks guy's
