1528 veres 1529
I have been looking at the Massey 1528 gear and 1529 for some time now. My wife finally gave me the go ahead to purchase one. The tractor will primarially be used to push snow in the winter and to do work around the house. Additionally, I might eventually get a finish mower to help mow my 3 acres of lawn.
Unfortunately I don't know anyone with either machine. I know many of you have either the 1528 or 1529 and was hoping you could please give me some imput.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 1528 veres 1529
Last spring I drove a neighbors 1428v gear, (the predecessor to the 1528), before I bought my JD. It was really a nice tractor, and the gear transmission was the smoothest shifting gear I'd ever driven. I really liked the fact that it had 3 ranges, instead of 2 like the JD 790/3005 has. That really spread the gears out in an efficient pattern and made them all comfortable for use at any RPM. If I hadn't of gotten a good deal on the JD than I think I probably would have bought a 1528.
