Default TO-35 questions....

My hunt club bought a '57 TO-35 earlier this year. We need to flush out the trans/hyd fluid on it. It has water in it as a result of a dry rotted trans. shifter boot.

What is the generally recommended way to flush out the water after draining it?

Is there a screen to clean while it is drained? If yes, where on the tractor is it located at?? Also, what about the filter, is there something I can get at the local NAPA that will crossover to the original filter??

Where can we order a replacement shifter boot?

Also, what kind of fluid goes back in? We have the I&T manual and it says 8 gals. but doesn't say what kind of fluid to use.

Thanks!
Keith

Default Re: TO-35 questions....

Mod's, can you please move this to the MF Owning/Operating forum? I put this post in the wrong forum. I would do it myself if I knew how. Thanks!!
