I am looking at a new 1652, the dealer wants $31,000 for tractor with power shuttle, r4's, 72 inch h/d bucket and no cab. what do you think of this price? he says list is over $34000. Does anyone have one?

Doesn't seem that far off. Maybe a touch high. The new tractors must have gone up quite a bit. Used to be able to buy a 1552 for $25K.

If it matters, I just got a quote for a 1635L with Fact Cab and FEL with quick release for $35955 (Canadian) and he was offering $5000 off for a cash purchase. So adjusted price is $30995. That's about $28,800 USD.

woodchuckcanuck,
it sounds like the price I was given is on par with your 1635, thanks

Massey Ferguson advertises the 1652 at $27,000.00 roughly, 4x4 without loader,or cab.. The 1655 boosts up to $34,000.00 according the their website, without cab, and loader 4wd.. I think $27,000.00 without loader is quite a bit. I assume as long as you get what you pay for in this situation, that is good enough.. The 1600 series do appear to have a nice fit, and finish. Quite a bit hp, and torque available. I was curious about their rear ends, are the strong enough to handle pulling 5,000lb red oak logs ?
