MF1523 4x4 FEL

Hello new to the forum... Looking at new Massey's

The 0%-72 is a good deal and I have a dealer within an hour of me.

I am looking at the MF1523 4x4 with an FEL, 4' Bush Hog, and a 16' Trailer

Now just over the phone and I am sure this is retail. 14800 for the MF1523 4x4 Hydro and FEL. Then 1050 for a 4' bush hog with a slip clutch and around 1500 for a 16' dual axel trailer with electric brakes. I am in north west Florida.

The dealer also told me they will do the first 50 hour for free all I need to pay for is the filter?

Just wondering how you all feel about these prices and how are they dealing right now.

The 1523 is being discontinued, so swing the best deal you can. Not sure if they will offer it again when they re-do the rest of the 1600 series line.

The retail on the tractor is $12,500 CAD$, sounds pretty good to me. But hey, haggling is good too.

That's good info to know... so 12,500 is just for the MF1523 4x4 tractor right no loader?

That was Canadian when we bought ours back in April 07, but yes no loader.

I would suggest the GC2400 over the 1523. The GC 2400 has 1 more hp at the PTO over the 1523. Plus the HST pedals are side by side on the GC. Much more easy to operate. Plus the 1523 unit is being discontinued!!!! The 1523 is a LOT MORE Expensive than the GC. The GC engine specs out the same as the 1523 and the lift cap on the 3pt is the same as well. So, I have showed you right off the bat where you can cut cost.


Also, its still 0 for 72 mo. See what your local dealer will do you a deal for on the the GC2400 a loader, cuter, and trailer. I'll help you get the best deal, plus I could use a trip to the sunshine state!!!!!

You get a lot more tractor with the 1523. Bigger tires, loader & frame = better ground clearance, more loader capacity and a heavier tractor. Add those up & it should cost more than a GC series. Don't worry it's being discontinued, that same machine has come through a few model changes & is still pretty much the same. (1523, 1423 and 1215 also, I think) Parts won't be an issue. Quite frankly, I think you'll see it again under the 1600 label. It was a nice little tractor.

I agree 100%!! That is exactly why we did nt buy a GC series.

Yea I think I would be fine with the little smaller tractor.

I test drove a Kubota BX2360 today because the dealer is right here... Still keeping my options open and not made any decisions yet...

Can the smaller tractor handle a post hole digger?

I just wanted to give you some food for thought. I'm a dealer for Kubota and MF. Each one has its advantages.

Kubota BX.. of course has a Kubota engine.
MF GC.. Has the Iseki

Both good engines however, Kubota has its own engine.

MF GC hydro.. has pedals side by side.
Kubota Bx hydro.. has pedals one behind the other.

Drive both units, because some people lean more toward the pedals that are side by side. They say its less stress on the foot.

Also, the GC will has a faster hydraulic operation on the loader over the BX.

We have personally tested the strength on both the BX and GC by having a tractor pull using both tractors, and not one tractor is stronger than the other. Over the long haul the Kubota is going to have a better resale valve compared to the GC.

Either choice you make will be a wise choice. Because those are your two best subcompacts on the market I think. Let me know what your final quote is and I'll see if I can help you. Our prices are really good, and a matter of fact we sold a new Kubota today that we have to deliver to South Carolina.

Yes, you can put a post hole digger on the sub compact. There a versions that are shorter in height to allow clearane for the shorter tractors.
