I just traded my 165 in on a Kubota and got 2500. It was a 1967 with loader. Power steering needed work. I paid 5000 for it about 10 years ago and put about 1000 into it.

I think $2500 must be the standard trade amount for old tractors...

I have seen MF165 with loaders for around that price here in WNC,but then I also thought that price was a little high for the age of the tractor and for what else was out there.

I was curious what people thought, I have my MF 165 for sale on Ebay
MF 165 Diesel Tractor with Load hours 1843 57 PTO | eBay
After looking at the prices in want ad digest, I priced mine at buy now
$8300, started it at $7380. What do you guys think of price?

165's were 52PTO hp....Not 57.

Kinda high compared to what they sell for here, and this is Massey country....Good 165's sell in the $4500 to $5000 range. A GOOD loader adds maybe $500 to $1000 tops.

I saw a completely restored, low hour '74 165 diesel, new rubber, with MF200 loader sell for $6700 here last fall, and I never put a bid on it. (And I don't walk away from bargains)

Typically, "trade value" is less than actual retail value.....

A decent 165, even in need of some work, will bring $4000 at a minimum here. Add a loader and expect $500 to $1000 more (at max)

I'd buy a dozen of 'em @ $2500!

Bought my 165 with a 235 loader about a year ago. Love the old work horse, its a 72 model. Paid 5000 for it. It replaced a 47 8N ford
