Buying Advice massey 2135 buying advice

I have an opportunity to buy a MF 2135 with the perkins diesel. The hour meter ready about 2700 hours but hasn't worked for awhile...The current owner thinks there is 3500 hours or so on it. Looks like the hydrolic hoses are original and show a lot of cracking but not leaking. Tires have less than 25% tread and it belches plenty of black smoke when given fuel...The loader and hydraulics appear to be in good shape...PTO seems to work well...There plenty of down pressure...enough to lift the tractor...I can get the tracktor for 3K but not sure what I might be getting myself into...

ANy advice is appreciated...
